Cascoda® collaborates with Go-IoT sensor to demonstrate at Smart IoT London

Cascoda^® attended the Smart IoT London 2019 trade-show in March. Smart IoT London is the UK’s only conference and exhibition focused on the Internet of Things (IoT) in action. Together with Go-IoT, we showcased a live demonstration of a Thread-enabled industrial sensor system.

Based on the Go-IoT BACnet/IoT server, mounted on an standard industrial backplane, Cascoda’s Thread-enabled module provided flawless connectivity to an industrial temperature and humidity sensor, despite saturated WiFi interference.

CA8210 beats WiFi & sub-GHz radios in London tests

In independent like-for-like testing in London’s urban environment by ContinuumBridge, the CA8210 beat a number of competing technologies, including long range bluetooth, proprietary 868MHz and WiFi.
Says Bruno Johnson, CEO, Cascoda: “This is exactly why we set up Cascoda. We knew that existing receive architectures were not good enough for real-world IoT applications, and we set out to fix that problem. With this report, there is further evidence of Cascoda’s technological advantage”.

Cascoda’s 6LoWPAN Linux driver added to kernel 4.12
